Lack of instructions limits the usefulness

I am using this app to learn several songs (drums) including In my time of dying (From physical graphiti) I want to save several sections of this song and work these parts individually. I was looking for your quick start guide and sent an email from the app with no response So is the not app to channel my inner John Henry Bonham

Very helpful!

I couldnt learn the Holdsworth solo to "In the Dead of Night" without this!

Love it

At first I found this app a little confusing but the more I used it the more I realized how well designed it was. The best thing about it is its well-designed A-B repeat feature. As a classical singer, I use it to repeatedly play back small segments within a larger piece, and particularly small segments that are of greater than average difficulty. This helps me master them very quickly. You could not ask for a better tool for that. It is also very easy to change the A and B points as you go. It basically lets you select any of the songs already found in your devices music application, and then lets you modify their playback in accordance with your needs. While my primary need is an easy to use A-B repeat feature, it also allows you to speed up or slow down playback without changing the pitch. (A different version of this app also allows you to change the key in which a song plays back, but that one only allows you to load one song at a time, so this is the one to get if the music youre trying to memorize is saved on multiple tracks.) The only negatives are: (1) the lack of a good set of instructions built into the app, (2) if using it on an iPad, it only displays in landscape mode and (3) I would love it if the repeat feature would continue to work when you are in a different app reading the lyrics you are trying to memorize. These are not major drawbacks though. As to the lack of a good set of instructions, you can quickly learn what you need by trial and error(or by sending an email to the designer). This has quickly become an indispensable app for me.

Indispensible Guitar Tool

Many thanks to the creator of this app. I reach for it every time I need to learn a song.

Good app but.......

Good app but, I wish it had the ability to slow it down (tempo, bpm). Other than that, great app.

Poor sound quality

The demo is misleading. I bought this app and was very disappointed with the murky sound of the slowed down file. Stay away!

Pretty useful.

Ive been transcribing a bunch of bop solos lately and this app makes life a lot easier when dissecting certain lines. Great layout, and simple to use.

Awesome lifting app

Super easy to use. I highly recommend it for just the looping ability alone.

Ideal

This app is ideal for anyone who memorizes music on a regular basis! Without it, memorizing large volumes of music would be much more difficult! Keep up the good work guys!

Excellent.

The app works very well — even easier given the pairing with a Bluetooth keyboard, and being able to control the app via the play, forward, and reverse keys. A definite plus. The ability to mark out sections of the track to work on is also a thoughtful feature. This app will make you *want* to lift something.

Cute tool.

I think they did what they set out to do. Good music manipulator. Great for studying sound clips. I probably wouldnt use it much but the interface is smooth and simple. Intuitive controls.

Simple and useful

Does what its supposed to do well and without clutter. A must for musicians. I use this app every time Im learning a new passage now.

Finally a goodie

Yeah finally found an easy intuitive one. All they need is speed control for perfection and would be nice if could save clips. But nice nonetheless as it is. Ipad 3, using for music and conference reviews.

Great App.

Wish Apple would make their music SW better so this app could be better. This app controls the music player from apple which seems to have quirks.

Great App!

Use it to loop song parts I need to learn on the drums. Works perfect!

Perfect player for learning & practicing songs!

If youre a musician who uses an iPhone or iPad to learn songs, then you will love this app. If you hate music players with cluttered up, busy screens and tiny little control buttons, you will love this app. This player has a very intuitive, clean, plain, display with large control buttons for even the fattest fingers. Its obvious this app was designed by a musician who needed a better music player for learning and practicing songs. This is the best app Ive seen, so far, for doing just that.

Would have gotten 5 stars

I love the app and use it all the time. When i got the iPhone 6+ the app wouldnt launch. I had to reload it twice. So Im not confident that it will work.

Used to work

It does not work anymore it always crashes when I open it

They fixed it!

It works again - and its one of the most useful apps I have!

I-lift

This a very easy to use app to lift and repeat a portion of a song to practice.
